About the SPI-4 model

About the SPI-4 model

SPI-4 uses NT-proBNP, thrombin time, direct bilirubin and APACHE II, recorded at the first BALF assessment, to estimate ICU mortality probability in patients with severe pulmonary infection.

Intended use

The model supports ICU mortality risk estimation in patients with severe pulmonary infection. This research service is not a standalone diagnostic or treatment-decision tool.
